Joining

Cadgwith Gig Club is open to everyone and welcomes all new comers, returning members, novices, juniors, seniors. We do not allow anyone who is still at primary school to join and ask that should any young rowers wish to join that they wait until they are at secondary school. There is no maximum age.

Training

Home stretch of water

All crews from Cadgwith Gig Club train out of Cadgwith Cove on the Lizard Peninsular during the summer months. Winter gig training will vary from St Anthony in Meneage, Mullion Harbour and Cadgwith Cove, all depending on weather conditions.

Facilities

The Gig Shed

Cadgwith Gig Club is based in the centre of the picturesque village of Cadgwith Cove. Head to the centre of the cove and there you will find our gig shed, which is the Old Lifeboat Station from the old Cadgwith Lifeboat. The gig shed is generally open to the public throughout the summer and inside you will see one of our gigs, interpretation boards giving the history of the club and general information - member information, health and safety policy and invites to local events. Feel free to come in and browse around.

Upstairs is our function room which is available for hire to non gig club members. We are able to provide a bar, provided you ask upon booking the room, there is also access to kitchen facilities. These rooms are locked at all times when not in use.

There are no toilet facilities within our gig shed, however, the public toilets are situated next door.
