Founded 1989

A British rowing clothing company founded in 1989.

The FUN and the FUNCTIONAL rowing clothing and gifts company based in UK but with happy customers around the world. We leave your racing Club kit to the specialists and we look after the rest of your kit bag (including the bag).

Product developments

Rock the Boat started as a t-shirt company.

We still have an extensive range of rowing t-shirts and hoodies. We are the souvenir merchandise partners for many of the major UK events (including the Women's Eights Head, Head of the River Race, Head of the River Fours, the Schools' Head of the River, the Oarsport Junior Sculling Head, British Rowing Masters Championships, Scottish Rowing Championships, and Henley Masters Regatta). Sales from any of these events earn a royalty payment to the Regatta / Head Race. We also have a growing range of functional training kit as well as clothing to keep rowers, coaches, coxes and supporters warm and dry! Our kit is all made in the UK and mainly with fabrics knitted and dyed in the UK too.

We have great rowing gifts with treats for all, from baby bibs, to silk ties and cufflinks, to rigger jiggers and sports bags.

We are proud to be the retail partner of British Rowing. We have a range of British Rowing branded clothing and gifts which we sell in partnership with them so profits are returned to BR helping to support our sport.

Agents and distributors

Rock the Boat was founded at Henley Women's Regatta in 1989 where Annabel Eyres and Ali Gill sold event souvenir t-shirts from a rucksack to fund their international rowing careers - they represented GB in the double scull at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992.

Since then Rock the Boat has grown into a major rowing clothing and gifts company with an international customer base.
